A new three day residential piano course at Leighton Park School Berkshire, just outside Reading. The school has a performance auditorium with a grand piano and 8 practice rooms. 

The course is aimed at Grade 7 to post diploma.

Participants will arrive for dinner on Thursday evening.  There will be a full day of masterclass, individual lessons, Alexander Technique sessions and harpsichord sessions on the Friday and Saturday with a final masterclass session on the Sunday morning, prior to an informal end-of-course concert at which all participants are encouraged to play as will the tutors

Course fees are inclusive of all tuition and full board and accommodation on site in singe rooms with shared bathroom facilities.

Course Content:

 

There will be three half-day masterclasses led by our tutors Dominic John and Maureen Galea. 

 

In addition, each participant will have two 45-minute individual lessons. As well as:

​

     A 1½-hour Alexander Technique group session.

​

     A 1½-hour harpsichord masterclass session with Eralys Fernandez.

 

Each evening there will be an opportunity to perform informally to each other in the auditorium in a relaxed     

atmosphere.

​

On Sunday afternoon there will be an informal end-of-course concert that all participants and tutors may take part in.

 

There are eight practice rooms around the main auditorium for use every day.

 

Accommodation:

 

Accommodation will be provided in one of the boarding houses for our exclusive use which has a 'common room' and kitchen facilities.  Single bedrooms are available for all participants with more than sufficient shared bathroom facilities.

 

Course Dates:

 

Thursday 5 April, 2018 arriving between 6 and 7 p.m. for dinner at 7 p.m., to Sunday 8 April 2018 at approx. 5 p.m.  (Times to be confirmed).

Fees for participants are £475.  Payable on booking.
